The food at this hotel was absolutely incredible. The chef's skills were top-notch and the dishes were fresh, innovative, and bursting with flavor. I particularly loved the scallop and black pudding starter - it was cooked to perfection. The Sunday lunch roast was also a highlight, with tender meat and a generous selection of real vegetables. Another advantage was the warm and friendly staff, who made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs.
Our arrival experience was less than pleasant. We were met by the owner, who seemed unwelcoming and demanded payment without any greeting.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a charming inn that has a rich history dating back to the 1500s. Situated near a former WWII base, this hotel has a friendly atmosphere and is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The owners, John and Sarah, are always present and engage with the guests, creating a warm and sociable environment. The hotel also offers regular events like open mic nights and quizzes, making it a fun place to be. The food, while not the main focus, is excellent. They serve delicious dishes like steak nights and Sarah's famous curried goat. The hotel's character, friendly ambiance, and enjoyable events made my stay truly memorable.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were great.

Stayed here for Easter, the room was large and clean. the breakfast was good and they had a nice selection of drinks at the bar. the location was great, close to shops and restaurants.
the staff was not friendly at all, and it felt like we were bothering them with any request we had.

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel. The attention to detail was truly impressive. From the beautifully furnished rooms with their comfortable beds and lush bedding, to the spacious ensuite bathrooms with fluffy white towels, everything was just perfect. The staff, including the lovely lady owner Lizzie and helpful Finn, went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. The location in the gorgeous village was an added bonus, with friendly locals and plenty of off-road parking available.
Everything was fantastic!
